Epoxy Floors

Epoxy floors are specialized floor coatings that are often used in garages, basements, sidewalks and factories. They may be the perfect solution for your garage, laundry room, walkways, patios or any areas where a highly durable and stain resistant floor would be welcomed. Epoxy floors are easily cleaned and mopped. They resist most chemicals such as oil, cleaners, skydrol and  gasoline. They can be made skid resistant and withstand heavy use, even hot tires! Better yet, you can customize the look of your epoxy floor coating by adding decorative chips to coordinate with the overall design of your space. Decide which floor is best for you: solid color floor, flake floor, quartz floor(looks like sand), metallic floor (good for kitchens, family rooms and basements but can be used anywhere) or even a mica floor.

If you think epoxy flooring is the solution for your space, take a look at the process:

Step 1 - Clean and Prep

Bulldog Painting will clean the floor surface of any loose paint, oil or other chemical and environmental residue.

Step 2 - Grinding

Our professionals will grind the floor to remove any old epoxy or paint. This process is a must for good adhesion. All concrete dust gets sucked up into a HEPA vacuum which means no dust cloud while grinding the floor. There is no airborne dust.

Step 3 - Application

The epoxy will be applied with a squeegee and back rolled for an even finish.

Step 4 - Customize

Decorative flakes will be added to the epoxy to customize the look of your floor. Flakes can be in hundreds of colors and shimmers. The most uniform floor is a full broadcast of flakes which means that the flakes will cover 100% of the floor.

Step 5 - Finish Coat

This is the last step in the process. The painter will vacuum and collect any flakes that can be reused and sand the floor. The floor gets sanded to get any protruding flakes smooth. Clear coat is applied  with squegee and backrolled with a thin napped roller.

Step 6 - Inspect

Your painter will conduct a final walk through you to guarantee your satisfaction with the finished product.

Bulldog Painting LLC can also add cabinets to your garage! This is a great addition to an epoxy floor and a wonderful solution for your storage needs!
